No direct threats against M’sia for supporting Palestinian cause, says IGP

KUALA LUMPUR: There are no direct threats against Malaysia following the country’s outspokenness on the Palestine-Israel conflict, says Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.

"For now, there are no direct threats (against the country).

"However, we are still collecting intelligence and relevant information on the matter," the Inspector-General of Police told reporters after attending the graduation ceremony for police trainees at the Police Training Centre (Pulapol) on Friday (Nov 17).

Meanwhile, Razarudin also said that Malaysia’s safety and security are still at an optimum level.

Among those who attended the ceremony were Deputy IGP Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay and other senior officers.

The event marked the conclusion of training for 538 police trainees.

The IGP previously said that the police were with the government and the rest of the world in voicing their support for a stop in the Zionist attack against Palestine.

He also launched the Masjid Bukit Aman's Palestine Solidarity Emergency Fund together with MyFundAction recently.
