Over 1,000 summonses issued, two arrested in Ops Samseng Jalanan


ISKANDAR PUTERI: Over 1,000 summonses have been issued to motorists for various traffic offences during the Ops Samseng Jalanan here.

Two people, aged 18 and 20, have also been arrested for dangerous driving in the operation.

Iskandar Puteri Deputy OCPD Supt Ibrahim Mat Som said the operation was conducted around the Ismail Sultan Highway on Nov 4 and 5.

"We have also seized 339 motorcycles and 21 cars under Section 64 of the Road Transport Act 1987," he said in a statement.

He stated that police would continue with the effort in ensuring road safety for all.
