Perikatan youth chief summoned by cops again over Save Malaysia Rally

PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional Youth chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has been summoned by the police to have his statement recorded over the Sept 16 Save Malaysia rally.

In a Facebook post, the Pasir Mas MP said he will be at the Dang Wangi Police Station at 11 am on Tuesday (Sept 26).

“This is the third time I have given my statement within a span of a month. The police have been very professional in carrying out their duties. As there have been reports, an investigation has to be carried out,” he said.

Ahmad Fadhli said Perikatan would continue to cooperate with the police

“Those on the other side can continue to lodge reports and pressure (us). If they end up being the Opposition all of a sudden, then they may not have the chance to mount pressure(on Perikatan),” he said.

The Save Malaysia rally organised by Perikatan Youth concluded without any untoward incident.

The rally was held to express the Opposition’s dissatisfaction towards the discharge not amounting to acquittal (DNAA) granted to Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in the Yayasan Akalbudi case.
