Pakatan retains Simpang Jeram

JOHOR BARU: Pakatan Harapan’s Nazri Abdul Rahman has won the Simpang Jeram state seat in Johor.

He won with a 3,514 vote-majority, securing 13,484 votes.

Perikatan Nasional’s Dr Mohd Mazri Yahya scored 10,330 votes while Independent S. Jeganathan won 311.

A total of 60.2% of Simpang Jeram’s voters had cast their ballot on Saturday.

The seat saw an increased majority for Pakatan Harapan.

In the state election last year, the late Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub won with a 2,399 majority-vote.
