ACTRESS and singer Nonny Nadirah, who had taken a hiatus from the entertainment industry, has hinted that she has been a victim of black magic in recent years, reported Kosmo!.Nonny, 34, implied in a social media post that someone she knew was responsible for her “disappearance”.

She however expressed her confidence in her recovery and shared that she had never ceased praying for those who had used black magic against her to repent.

The participant of season five of Akademi Fantasia (AF5) revealed that she had been receiving threats from the same person in different ways for a long time.

“The consequences of your actions will soon affect both you and your family. You have made a threat against me, but it is important to remember that any harm you cause will have consequences. You are the one who initiated all of this.

“I have been living in my own world. There is no reason to remain silent when speaking of you. I will never forget how you made me cry in front of God every day, even until the day I die,” she wrote.

Her fans and friends breathed a sigh of relief when she made an appearance in a YouTube video last month, now wearing a hijab.

Nonny, originally from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, had married Mohamed Mustain, a widower with one child, in March 2008. They divorced a year later.

> Each year, an estimated 4,000 teenage girls under the age of 18 get pregnant, based on Health Ministry statistics, reported Harian Metro.

Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynecology Dr Engku Husna Engku Ismail said teenage pregnancy could occur due to various factors, such as underage marriage or sexual activity among teenagers and children.

Apart from that, social and cultural factors such as the influence of peers, social media, pornography, a lack of communication and family support, and insufficient sexual health education were also among the causes cited.

“Among other factors that also cause pregnancy among teenagers are socioeconomic aspects – involving poverty, broken families, domestic violence, and mental, physical, and sexual abuse from family and friends.

“Health risks found in teenage pregnancies include blood deficiency (anaemia), stunted baby development during pregnancy, child defects, high blood pressure, maternal depression, premature birth, difficult birth, bacterial infection and maternal death,” she said.

Dr Engku Husna said that based on a study conducted by the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) in 2015, it was found that knowledge about aspects of sexuality and reproductive health is still low among teenagers in Malaysia.
