State polls: Penang cops won't close roads to polling stations unless necessary

GEORGE TOWN: Roads leading to polling centres in Penang will not be closed during the state election on Saturday (Aug 12) unless it is absolutely necessary.

Penang police Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department chief Sen Asst Comm Puspanathan Wiresingam, however, said all heavy traffic is advised not to use the roads leading to the poll stations to prevent traffic congestion.
