DPM: Move to TIP Tier 2 improves perception

KUCHING: Malaysia’s listing on the Tier 2 Watch List of the US State Department’s Trafficking in Persons (TIP) report counters the negative perception related to the issue of forced labour in the country, says Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

The Deputy Prime Minister said it reflected the cooperation and efforts of all parties in ensuring that Malaysia implemented good practices to tackle issues of human trafficking, migrant smuggling, forced labour and enforcement.
