THE Malay media reported about singer Mizz Nina’s second marriage. Based on a post on her Instagram account on Thursday, the reports said the bride has announced her recent marriage to Essam Muhammad in a private event attended by family and close friends.

“Allah is the best of planners, and has written this chapter of our lives so beautifully,” she wrote.

She expressed her gratitude in receiving their parents’ blessings.

Mizz Nina, whose real name is Shazrina Azman, 43, said she and her partner (pic) share similar goals to educate people about Islam.

She added that they would be having a private wedding reception in Kuala Lumpur soon.

Mizz Nina previously married singer-songwriter Noh Salleh, the frontman of the rock band Hujan, in 2011 before the couple filed for divorce last year.

> Veteran singer Faizal Tahir will be staging his first solo concert, Aku Faizal Tahir: Live in Kuala Lumpur, at World Trade Centre KL on Sept 2, Sinar Harian reported.

Faizal said the concert was a gesture of appreciation to his loyal fans for their support since he began singing 17 years ago.

“I feel this is the best time to have the solo concert, given that my management team has repeatedly asked me to do it for a long time. It’s a sign that people still want to hear me sing.

“Many fans have also made a similar request after I promoted one of my songs online. My management team recorded all their comments and showed them to me,” the 45-year-old said.

“The concert will not only entertain but will also deliver a positive message about life through my own trials and tribulations.

“I want people to go home feeling like they’ve learnt something meaningful about themselves other than just being entertained,” he added.
