JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has granted an audience to Indonesia's Defence Minister Prabowo Subianto, who is a close friend of His Majesty.
According to a statement posted on Sultan Ibrahim’s official Facebook page, the meeting between the Ruler and Prabowo was held at Istana Bukit Serene here on Friday (June 2).
Also present during the audience was Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim.
Sultan Ibrahim also treated Prabowo to a luncheon.
Prabowo and Sultan Ibrahim have known each other for more than 40 years since their military training at Fort Bragg and Fort Benning in the United States in the 1980s.
