Anwar attends Madani Open House in Kedah


ALOR SETAR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim attended the Malaysia Madani Open House event at Raia Hotel here on Saturday (April 29).

Anwar, who was wearing a peach baju Melayu complete with songkok and sampin, arrived at the hotel at about 10am.

He then proceeded to greet and shake hands with the public who were at the hotel foyer since 9am to attend the open house organised by the Federal Government in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Among other guests present during the event are deputy prime ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Local Government Development Minister Nga Kor Ming, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifudin Nasution Ismail and his deputy Datuk Seri Dr Shamsul Anuar Nasarah.

Former Kedah menteri besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah was also sighted at the event.

Some 25,000 people were expected to attend the event.
