With no way out, mat rempit surrender

KULAI: After hiding at an oil palm plantation for six hours, a group of mat rempit finally gave in and surrendered themselves to the police due to hunger and the fear of missing out on Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Kulai OCPD Supt Tok Beng Yeow said 57 men aged between 17 and 42 tried to avoid being caught by hiding at the plantation near KM7 of Jalan Kulai-Kota Tinggi during an operation on the eve of Hari Raya.
