PM visits singer at hospital

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim visited veteran singer Rohana Jalil who is now undergoing treatment for intestinal perforation at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

In a Facebook post, Anwar said Rohana’s condition was still being monitored by a medical team.

Anwar also took the opportunity to visit Adzis Ismail, his Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK) schoolmate who is undergoing dialysis due to a medical condition at the same hospital, Bernama reported.

“I pray both of them are blessed with aafiyah (good health), insya-Allah,” Anwar said in the post.

Rohana, 68, whose real name is Dara Abdul Jalil, was reported to have sought treatment at the hospital last Tuesday, before successfully undergoing surgery the next day for intestinal perforation.
