KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof have extended their Aidilfitri wishes to all Muslims in the country.

Ahmad Zahid, who is also the Rural and Regional Development Minister, expressed his hopes that Aidilfitri would be celebrated in the spirit of gratitude.

“I pray for all Muslims in Malaysia to be blessed by Allah SWT. Maaf Zahir dan Batin,” he said on his social media accounts.

Fadillah, who is also the Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister, said the arrival of Syawal was the biggest victory for every Muslim who had fasted throughout Ramadan.

In a message posted on his Facebook page, Fadillah said Ramadan taught the meaning of gratitude, patience and sacrifice, as well as being grateful for the blessings that had been given and adopting simplicity in all matters.

“Syawal also teaches us the meaning of sharing joy with our loved ones, strengthening existing relationships, and renewing our spirit of brotherhood.

“Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to my family and friends. For those who are returning to their respective hometowns, may you always be careful during the journey to your hometown,” said Fadillah.Meanwhile, MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong also conveyed his wishes, while advising motorists to drive safely.

“May today’s victory continue strengthening our bonds.

“To those travelling back to their hometowns or going on holidays with their loved ones, drive carefully.
