Hotels expect a rush soon

GEORGE TOWN: Although Hari Raya is approaching, occupancy rates at hotels in the northern region are still low but hoteliers are optimistic that there will be last-minute bookings closer to the festive period.

Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), Penang chairman Tony Goh said it is normal for hotels to have last-minute bookings and walk-ins during the festive season.
