Teenage girl allegedly raped by stepdad, couple nabbed at KLIA2


MELAKA: Jasin police have arrested a couple at KLIA2 in Sepang, Selangor following a report made by a 16-year-old teenager who alleged that her stepfather had raped her.

Jasin OCPD Deputy Supt Ahmad Jamil Radzi said the 40-year-old biological mother of the victim and the 36-year-old stepfather were detained at 9.30pm on Saturday (April 8).

He said the couple had just returned from Sabah when they were arrested at the airport.

"The victim lodged a police report at Jasin police headquarters on April 6, alleging she had been sexually assaulted (several times) by her stepdad since 2000," he said on Sunday (April 9).

DSP Ahmad Jamil said the couple have been remanded until April 15 to assist investigations under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape.

On April 6, it was reported that the teenager who went missing for the past 20 days had reunited with a family here.

The girl was found safe at an apartment in Kampar, Perak at 3.30pm on April 5 with a 20-year-old male friend.

He said the girl confessed she had left her house voluntarily and been staying with her friend since March 18.

Jasin police continued investigating why the teenager left her home despite the girl saying she was not coaxed to leave or was hurt when was staying with her friend in Perak.
