Anwar hosts buka puasa for party leaders


PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim hosted a buka puasa for leaders of parties in the government.

He arrived at Seri Perdana here at 6.30pm on Friday (April 7) accompanied by his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Representatives from Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional component parties were among the 1,000-odd guests in attendance.

Also present were the leaders and representatives from Gabungan Parti Sarawak, Parti Warisan, the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) and Parti Bangsa Malaysia.

After breaking fast, Anwar performed maghrib, isyak and tarawih prayers.

The Prime Minister has been hosting buka puasa for different groups, ministries and agencies over the past week.

This includes sessions with Cabinet ministers and diplomatic corps as well as farmers, fishermen, educationists and youth groups.
