No easy solution for South China Sea claims but problem not insurmountable, says Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR: There is neither an easy solution for the overlapping territorial claims in South China Asean nor the problem is not insurmountable as long as there is dialogue, Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said in an interview with China Daily during his visit to China last week.

In an interview with the largest English-language media company in China released on Tuesday (April 4), Anwar said South China Asean issues should not be "that contentious" and dialogue with other Asean countries that also stake claim in the resources rich sea should be seen as the way to resolve the differences.
