Think-tank Masa shortlists 27 for policy development grants

PETALING JAYA: Institut Masa Depan Malaysia (Masa) has shortlisted 27 research grant applicants who stand to receive RM10,000 each via the Masa Policy Development Programme (MPDP 2.0).

Its CEO Azril Mohd Amin said the applicants were selected out of 254 proposals submitted by researchers from 29 local and private universities and institutions.

"They will be receiving a research grant of RM10,000 each for their respective policy briefs and are encouraged to publish their research reports in acclaimed journals and reputable publications, either locally or abroad," he said in a statement on Tuesday (March 28).

Azril said he hoped their research would help Masa in its mission and vision as an independent think-tank in promoting shared prosperity for the nation and global community.

The list of shortlisted applicants can be found on its website at https://institutmasa.com/masa-policy-development-programme/.

MPDP 2.0 is a continuation of the MPDP research grant programme on problem-solving issues crucial for national recovery and development.
