Selangor polls results a 'litmus test' for Anwar, says Gobind

KLANG: The results of the upcoming Selangor polls will be a "litmus test" for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, says Gobind Singh Deo.

"We can't afford to fail in the coming Selangor election," said Gobind.

Speaking at the opening of the state DAP annual convention on Sunday (March 26), the Selangor DAP chairman said that the party's members will need to collaborate with Umno, GPS and GRS.

He added that the unity government at the federal level is stable and said that he is confident that it will continue to administer the nation.

Gobind said that stability can be returned to the nation with this unity, adding that it will strengthen the economy.

"A stable country can attract foreign investment," he said.

Also at the event was Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari and representatives from Pakatan component parties.
