Floods dampen kuih maker’s sales


MUAR: The month of Ramadan has always been a busy time for Aini Ayub – who runs a kuih batang buruk factory – with orders rising about 60 times more than the usual volume.

But with just over a week before the start of Ramadan, her house, along with the factory next door, were inundated with floodwater, destroying most of the machinery, raw materials and other equipment.
