Floods: Last two relief centres close in Negri

SEREMBAN: The two remaining flood relief centres, which housed 478 victims, have been closed in Negri Sembilan.

The Civil Defence, in a statement said as of 4pm on Sunday (March 5), all victims had been allowed to go home after flood waters receded.

At the height of the wet spell on Friday (March 3), 14 centres had been opened, housing 1,097 victims from 312 families.

Tampin, Jempol and Kuala Pilah were the three districts hit following continuous rain.

Tampin was the worst hit with eight centres opened followed by Jempol (four) and Kuala Pilah (two).

The SK Sg Kelamah centre in Tampin housed the highest number of victims with 540 individuals from 138 families.
