MP urges govt to consider remaining funds of contributors before allowing EPF withdrawals

KUALA LUMPUR: The government needs to consider the depleting funds of Employees Provident Fund (EPF) contributors before allowing another round of special withdrawal programmes, says Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari (PH-Gombak).

Amirudin said the remaining savings of contributors are becoming more worrying following several special withdrawal initiatives since the country was struck by the Covid-19 pandemic, adding that some contributors could only afford to spend 68sen a day after their retirement.
