Jana Wibawa probe: Bersatu info chief Wan Saiful, company CEO to be charged with graft on Feb 21


PUTRAJAYA: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia information chief Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan will be charged in connection with the Jana Wibawa programme.

The Tasek Gelugor MP and businessman Adam Radlan Adam Muhammad will be charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court at 9am.

It is learnt that the graft authorities had just been given the go ahead to charge Wan Saiful and Adam, who is the chief executive officer of a company.

“Yes, there will be charges made tomorrow,” said a source.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has initiated an investigation over the Jana Wibawa programme.

Former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had his statement recorded over the same investigation.

The Jana Wibawa programme was organised during the Covid-19 pandemic to assist bumiputra contractors.

MACC is currently investigating allegations that the chosen contractors then allegedly deposited RM300mil into the Bersatu party account.
