17 ‘sick’ schools to be completed

NIBONG TEBAL: The Education Ministry hopes to complete works on 17 schools nationwide that fall under the “sick” project category by the end of the year.

Minister Fadhlina Sidek said she would ensure the works be expedited to change the status of the schools from sick to “retender”.

“Works on the 17 schools are 90% complete but were delayed due to issues such as labour shortage.

“We hope they can be ready by this year so that students can enrol in these schools,” she told Bernama after visiting SK Keledang Jaya, Changkat near here yesterday.

She also announced an allocation of RM250,000 for the maintenance of facilities of the school.
