Royal family's surprise KFC visit delights other customers, Malaysians online

PETALING JAYA: It was a pleasant surprise for visitors and workers at the KFC Petronas Taman Tun when the King and His Majesty's family make a stop at the restaurant for lunch on Thursday (Dec 29).

In a short video, posted on the Istana Negara's Facebook account, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah were seen enjoying their lunch together with their children and grandchildren.

Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah were also seen mingling and taking pictures with visitors at the restaurant.

Touched Malaysians praised the humility shown by the King and Queen.

“The Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Permaisuri Agong are so low profile. Daulat Tuanku,” Noor Hasfaniza wrote online.

Another user online, Shamril Rahizam Ab Rahim, was persuaded to also have some KFC after watching the video.

“Daulat Tuanku... I want to buy KFC for my dinner today,” he wrote.
