Tioman residents to pay only RM20 for one-way ferry fares from January 2023

ROMPIN: The Pahang government has agreed that Tioman Island residents will only have to pay RM20 for a one-way ferry ride between the island and the mainland compared to the current rate of RM50, starting from January next year.

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the 60% reduction would be borne by the state government involving a financial implication of RM500,000 and would benefit approximately 3,600 residents.
