Warisan favours PH-BN forming Federal Govt

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan is in favour of Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional teaming up to form the next Federal Government.

Warisan president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said the two coalitions together had garnered the highest number of seats in the recently concluded 15th General Election.

"Warisan gives its support to Pakatan and Barisan because both have the number of seats to form a government and the majority of the people voted for them," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Nov 22).

As such, he said, Pakatan and Barisan should be given the first chance to form a government.

"This support is also on the premise that the new government will resolve in full the 21 claims for Sabah under the Malaysia Agreement of 1963," said the Semporna MP.

He said Warisan hoped the new government will bring political stability and unity to the country.

Warisan won three parliamentary seats in Sabah in GE15.
