DID issues flash flood warning for KL, Selangor, Negri, Kedah, Johor, Melaka and Sarawak


PETALING JAYA: Flash flood warnings have been issued for Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Kedah, Johor, Melaka, and Sarawak have been issued by the Irrigation and Drainage Department.

In Kuala Lumpur, the warning was issued for PWTC, Jalan Kuching, Kampung Baru, Jalan Pekeliling, the Dato' Onn roundabout near Bank Rakyat, the Pahang roundabout, Jalan Segambut, Jalan Pahang, Jalan Chan Sow Lin, Jalan Maarof, Jalan Kia Peng among others.

Also listed was Masjid Jamek, Universiti Malaya, Jalan Duta, Kg Pantai Dalam, Jalan Dang Wangi, Jalan Leboh Pasar, LRT Bangsar, the KESAS toll, LRT sungai Besi, Pekan Salak Selatan, Jalan Loke Yew, Jalan Segambut, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Pudu, and Jalan Tun Perak.

Warnings were also issued for Jalan Rahmat, PPR Batu Muda, Jalan Selvaruraj-Jalan Ipoh, Jalan Kolam Air, Kg Kassipilay, Jalan Batu Bata, Razak Mansion and Cheras in front of the Ekocheras Mall

In Selangor, a flash flood alert was also issued for Seksyen 13 Shah Alam, the Besraya highway, Sri Kembangan, Taman Mesra and Kompleks Jabatan Pertanian Serdang.

Also included are several areas in Gombak, Kampung Rantau Panjang in Kuala Selangor and Kg Sg Buah Luar in Sepang.

In Melaka, an alert was issued for Masjid Tanah and Kg Jeram and Kg Janda Berhias in Jasin.

Similarly, in Kedah an alert was issued for Kuala Muda's Kg Batu 2 and in Negri Sembilan flash floods could hit several roads across Jelebu, Rembau, and Seremban.

Meanwhile, the department also listed potential flash floods occurring in Johor's Batu Pahat, Muar, Segamat, and Tangkak.

In Sarawak, Petra Jaya, Kuching and areas near Sg Siol could have flash floods.
