Serdang shops gutted after seven-hour battle with blaze

Up in smoke: Fire and Rescue Department personnel working at the scene of the fire in Pekan Baru Serdang.

SERDANG: It took nearly seven hours to put out a raging fire which razed 14 shophouses at Pekan Baru Serdang.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said although the buildings were gutted, no casualties were reported.
