KUANTAN: The Pahang Perikatan Nasional committee is in the final stages of seat negotiations among its component parties.
Its chairman Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah (pic) said the committee had a meeting on Friday (Sept 16) in Temerloh followed by a general election preparation briefing involving all Pahang Perikatan parliamentary liaison committees.
"GE15 seat negotiations among Pahang Perikatan component parties are now in the final stages and are expected to be completed in the near future.
"The heads of the Parliamentary constituency liaison body have been appointed and each of them has set up a Perikatan committee in their respective parliamentary constituency to be prepared to face GE15," he said in a statement.
Saifuddin had previously said that Perikatan had a good chance of doing well in GE15 in the state, with the possibility of the coalition increasing its share of seats.
The Foreign Minister also said they agreed to officially launch Pahang Perikatan and its election machinery on Oct 10.
He said it would be launched by Perikatan chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and the leadership of the coalition.
