Verify status of companies to avoid being scammed, says labour expert

PETALING JAYA: Malaysians who received job offers overseas should verify the company’s status with the country’s respective embassies to avoid falling prey to job employment scams, says a labour expert.

Labour expert and National Human Resources Association Malaysia president Zarina Ismail said though the offer is lucrative, precautionary steps should be taken even before the employees have travelled through the respective countries, so they will not be stuck in a foreign country.
