Witness not sure if 1MDB support letter brought up in Parliament

KUALA LUMPUR: A witness told the High Court here that she was unsure if the process involving the issuance of a letter of support (LOS) for the RM1bil loan application submitted by 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) to the Finance Ministry (MOF) was brought up in Parliament.

Former Finance Ministry deputy secretary-general Datuk Siti Zauyah Mohd Desa, 63, said normally, the MOF would conduct due diligence and go through the required process, namely presenting loan matters to the Cabinet and subsequently in Parliament for approval.
