Witness unsure if 1MDB support letter for RM1bil loan brought up in Parliament


KUALA LUMPUR: A witness has told the High Court here Monday (Sept 5) that she is unsure if the process involving the issuance of a letter of support (LOS) for the RM1bil loan application submitted by 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) to the Finance Ministry was brought up in Parliament.

Former Finance Ministry deputy secretary-general Datuk Siti Zauyah Mohd Desa, 63, said normally, the ministry would conduct due diligence and go through the required process, namely presenting loan matters to the Cabinet and subsequently in Parliament for approval.
