GE15: Saravanan says unsure if he’s a candidate, but MIC ready for polls

KUALA LUMPUR: MIC is already prepared and geared up for the 15th general election (GE15), says party deputy president Datuk Seri M Saravanan.

Saravanan, who is also Human Resources Minister, said the party has also listed down its candidates and is just waiting for MIC president Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran to announce the line-up.

"MIC has prepared for a while and the president will announce it once Parliament is dissolved.

"I'm also unsure if I'm in the running for candidacy," said the Tapah MP.

Saravanan also said he was unsure if new faces will contest.

"Only the president knows," he added.

Saravanan was speaking to the media after the launching of the Conference and Exhibition on Occupational Safety and Health – COSH 2022 on Monday (Aug 29).

In GE14, MIC won two out of nine parliamentary and three of 18 state seats it contested.
