BN leaders gather for supreme council meeting, GE15 top on agenda


KUALA LUMPUR: Leaders of Barisan Nasional component parties are gathered for a supreme council meeting here with the 15th General Election (GE15) set to be top of the agenda.

Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, MIC president Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran and Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah deputy president Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup were among the top leaders present for the meeting at Menara Dato Onn.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who is also Umno vice-president, was also in attendance.

It is believed that the four component parties will discuss seat allocation for the upcoming polls, which is speculated to be held before the end of the year.

Also on the agenda is Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM)'s application to join the coalition.
