IPOH: The body of retired fighter pilot Mejar (R) Fajim Juffa Mustafa Kamal, 52, who died in a plane crash at Jalan Raja Dr Nazrin Shah here on Monday (Aug 1) will be buried in a cemetery in Semenyih, Selangor, on Tuesday (Aug 2).
According to his uncle, who only wished to be known as Radzi, his body will be taken to a surau near his house in Semenyih for prayers.

“The last time I met him was during Hari Raya Aidilfitri back in May.
“He is an easy-going and humble person who loved his family,” he told reporters at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital Forensic Unit here Tuesday.
Radzi added that Fajim rarely shared about his work with the family.

“All this while, when we talked, we discussed our families. He loved them dearly.
“Of course, his wife is sad but I think she has accepted the fate.
“Besides his father, Fajim is the only army man (air force) in the family.
“His brother, who works as an aviation engineer, is flying home and expected to arrive in the evening.
“We will bring his body straight to the surau Al Kautsar Bandar Tasik Kesuma, Beranang, Selangor. All his friends and other family members are waiting for him there,” he said, adding that Fajim was the second son among three siblings.

On Aug 1, Fajim Juffa was killed while Muhammad Din Fikri Zainal Abidin, from Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, was injured when the light aircraft model Piper 28 they were in, crashed at around 8pm last night.
Both flight instructors were reported to have departed from a nearby flight training school before the incident occurred.

Perak Police chief Comm Mior Faridalathrash on Aug 1 said the body of Fajim Juffa was removed from the wrecked airplane at about 9.20pm while 62-year-old Muhammad Din was rushed to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun for treatment.
Earlier, Comm Mior Faridalathrash said Muhammad Din was currently in stable condition and still receiving treatment at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.
