Body of man found floating in Rawang lake


PETALING JAYA: The body of a man was found floating in a lake at Taman Rekreasi Tun Perak, Rawang on Wednesday (July 22).

Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Ibrahim Husin said police received information about the discovery at about 7.45am.

“Initial investigations at the scene found the body of a Malaysian man floating on the surface of the lake.

“Further investigations found no signs of external injuries on the body,” he said in a statement Wednesday.

ACP Ibrahim said the body was sent to Hospital Selayang for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.

He said the case has been classified as a sudden death report (SDR) pending the full post-mortem report.

He also urged the public not to speculate on the incident as it could interfere with police investigations.
