Dr Wee: MAG's new book showcases history of aviation in Malaysia

PETALING JAYA: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has wished Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the parent company of Malaysian Airlines Bhd (MAB), continued success.

"I am proud to see the hard work and emotional journey everyone in Malaysia Aviation Group has gone through to get to where they are today," he said in a Facebook post after launching the group’s Coffee Table Book at the Malaysia Airlines Academy on Thursday (July 7).

"Here’s wishing MAG continued success and accomplishments for the years to come," he added.

The book recorded MAG’s achievements in the past few years especially in turning the company around after its restructuring.

"Through archived pictures that some may not have seen before, this coffee table book encapsulates the journey of how Malaysia Airlines has served the nation, travellers and everyone with their unique Malaysian Hospitality over the past 85 years," Dr Wee said.

Also present at the event were MAG chairman Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin and chief executive officer Captain Izham Ismail.
