Puspakom will conduct detailed investigation into plunged car, says Dr Wee


PETALING JAYA: The authorities will probe the accident that caused the death of a woman and her two children, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic).

The Transport Minister was referring to the tragic incident that claimed the lives of Masyitoh Ibrahim, 37 who is a teacher and her two children, Muhammad Ziyad Zikri Sharudin, 7, and Muhammad Ziyad Haziq Sharudin, 5.

“Condolences are extended to the family members, may their souls be showered with blessings.

“As reported by the media, Puspakom will conduct a detailed investigation and send a report to the police regarding this case.

“We will find the cause of the accident in which the vehicle driven by the victim is believed to have skidded and plunged into the river,” he said in a Facebook post on Wednesday (June 29).

On Saturday (June 25), Masyitoh, who was driving her car from Kuala Ketil heading towards Sungai Petani, lost control of the wheel, causing the car to skid and veer to the left side of the road before plunging into Sungai Muda.

Baling OCPD Supt Shamsudin Mamat said all three victims were found trapped inside the car.
