Justice Nazlan's previous bank job nothing to do with Najib's SRC case, DPP says in affidavit

PUTRAJAYA: The prosecution in Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s SRC International Sdn Bhd case said the involvement of trial judge Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali, who previously held a position in Maybank Bhd, was irrelevant to the SRC International case against the former premier.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Mohd Ashrof Adrin Kamarul, in an affidavit-in-reply filed at the Federal Court Wednesday (June 29), to object to Najib’s application to adduce fresh evidence, said the alleged evidence sought had more to do with Najib’s separate ongoing RM2.3bil 1Malaysia Development Bhd funds trial.
