Pasir Gudang Highway hit by flash flood after heavy rain


JOHOR BARU: A section of the Pasir Gudang Highway, here was flooded after being hit by heavy rain on Tuesday (June 28).

The rain, which started at about 2pm, caused a part of the highway near Taman Rinting to be flooded.

Videos and pictures of cars, lorries and other vehicles parked on the shoulder along the highway were unable to move due to strong currents have since gone viral on social media.

However, the flood quickly subsided after the rain stopped at about 3pm.

This is the second time within a month that the district has been hit with flash floods.

On May 25, several major roads in the same area were hit with flash floods.
