PETALING JAYA: Despite not winning the contest for the Ampang PKR division chief post, celebrity Datuk Hans Isaac (pic) says that he will continue doing his work in Ampang.

He said his team, known as "Kita Budak Ampang", would continue to provide assistance in the area.

"Our team from the grassroots and my office will continue to support and step up when needed. It has always and only been about the people," he said when contacted on Tuesday (May 31).

Hans said his team wants to set an example for other individuals and organisations to provide help to the needy.

"We are even learning from many non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in other areas that have the same direction as us," he said.

Hans, who has lived in Ampang for more than 40 years, said he had facilitated over 250 corporate social responsibility programmes in the last two years.

Hans and rapper Syed Ahmad Abdul Rahman Alhadad, also known as Altimet, failed in their bids to win the Ampang division chief post in the recent party polls.

According to the official PKR election website, the two managed to get 609 and 589 votes respectively, losing to Daing Muhammad Reduan Bachok who obtained 942 votes.
