PETALING JAYA: More than 200 complaints have been filed for breaking the rules set in the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) party election 2022, says the party's election committee (JPP).
PKR JPP chairman Dr Zaliha Mustafa, however, said that some complaints received had no merit and needed further clarification from the complainants for follow-up action.
“If the complaint requires further clarification, the complainant will be called and in fact, we have already put all matters related to the election in the 2022 election rules, procedures and ethics document.
"Any complaints, including misconduct, money politics and so on, we will go through in detail although there may be parties who choose to remain silent," she told Sinar Harian on Wednesday (May 18).
When asked about alleged "cash for votes" in Selangor, Dr Zaliha said complaints through official channels on the matter have not been received so far.
The PKR election in Selangor, the state with the most members, is on May 21 while members in Perak, Sabah and Sarawak will vote on May 22.
Apart from physical voting, online voting will also be held through the ADIL application which will be implemented from May 18 to 20.
For online voting for party members who are overseas, the voting application was opened on May 17.
