Restructuring exercise will lift burden on the rakyat

KUALA LUMPUR: The restructuring exercise of four major highway concession companies will benefit the rakyat, say an economist and various consumer groups.

Sunway University’s Economics professor Dr Yeah Kim Leng said this move would be very much welcomed by Malaysians, especially regular toll users in the Klang Valley, given the rising cost of living and periodic increase of tolls that had created a heavy burden on low and middle income households.
