Covid-19: More than 29% of eligible five to 11-year-olds given first dose of a vaccine

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 1,041,733 individuals, or 29.3% of children aged five to 11 years old in Malaysia, have received the first dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids) as of Monday (March 7).

According to the Health Ministry's CovidNow portal, a total of 15,064,528 individuals or 64%, of the country’s eligible adult population have received a booster dose and a total of 22,928,999, or 97.5%, have completed their Covid-19 vaccination while 23,205,772, or 98.7%, have received at least one dose of a two-dose vaccine.
