Covid-19: Total of 513,393 of kids aged five to 11 given first dose of vaccine as of Sunday (Feb 20)


KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 513,393 individuals, or 14.5% of Malaysia’ child population aged between five and 11 years old, have received the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids) as of Sunday (Feb 20).

Based on data from the Health Ministry's CovidNow portal, a total of 13,992,391 individuals, or 59.5% per cent of the adult population, in the country have received booster doses and 22,944,158 people, or 97.5%, have completed their vaccinations, while 23,221,715, or 98.7%, have received at least one dose of two-dose Covid-19 vaccine.
