Approval in one week for temporary teachers

APPLICATIONS from schools to hire temporary teachers will be approved within one week to ensure teaching can be carried out without disruption, according to the Education Ministry (MOE).

Sin Chew Daily reported that Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon assured schools that the ministry was not stopping schools that were short of teachers, from hiring temporary or substitute teachers.
