MALAYSIA is awaiting consideration from the source country, namely Indonesia, in relation to the mechanism to bring in foreign workers for the oil palm plantation sector, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng.
The Deputy Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister said based on discussions with the Indonesian government recently, the ministry found that the republic was still considering whether to send its migrant workers to Malaysia even though it had previously agreed to do so.
