SIBU: An extremely rare migrant owl with very few confirmed sightings has been surrendered to the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) on Saturday (Nov 20) by a concerned citizen.
SFC in a statement said it was a Short-eared Owl, or Asio flammeus, which was a protected species in Sarawak under the Wildlife Protection Ordinance 1998.
