Four foreigners nabbed for illegal gambling and investment scheme

KUALA LUMPUR: A group which operated a fake investment scam along with online gambling was busted by police, a month into their illegal operations.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya, in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 5), said a raid was conducted on Monday (Oct 4) at around 3.45pm, with a combined police team.

"The raid was conducted at a premise in Bukit Bintang, where the police arrested four foreigners aged between 21 and 30 years old," he said.

Also seized, he said, were five handphones, eight laptops, five tablets, one modem, one router and a computer.

Investigations showed the group had been operating for almost a month and the suspects, three men and a woman, have been remanded for four days, he said.
